Growing Tomatoes 101 w/ Loretta Allison
Time & Location
Tomatoes are one of the earthly delights of the warm season. This 101 style workshop with Loretta Allison of Spade and Seeds gets your summer edibles garden growing in the right direction so you can have a wildly successful tomato season! Topics include choosing the tomato varietals that are best suited to your microclimate, optimizing growing and crop production while minimizing common pests and diseases, and top tomato planting strategies for both native soil and raised bed container gardens. Common tomato questions will also be answered such as "Why didn't my tomatoes produce last year?" "What do indeterminate and open-pollinated mean?" and "Why did my tomato suddenly die?" Bring pen and paper for ample note taking.
This is a donation-based community workshop with nobody turned away for lack of funds. Suggested donation $7
